The Power of Pink 2023 Silent Auction

The Silent Auction is held in conjunction with The Power of Pink, the major annual fundraising event in support of Breast Care for Washington's mission to reduce breast cancer mortality in the Washington DC Metro area by offering breast health services to any person who walks through our doors.

All winning-bid items will be either mailed or delivered to the winning bidders if they are not in attendance at The Power of Pink Event on October 12, 2023.

Breast cancer has been the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the District of Columbia and is the third leading cause of cancer death.

Located in Washington DC's Ward 8, Breast Care for Washington provides screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds and biopsies, breast health education and consultation, and patient navigation to treatment should that be indicated. In addition to serving the needs of patients in Ward 8 since 2014, Breast Care for Washington also operates the MobileMammo, a tour-bus sized mobile mammography clinic which can go out into DC, Maryland, and Virginia communities to provide breast health services to people where they live and work through cooperative agreements with primary care providers or civic/social organizations.

We depend on you, our current and new supporters, to keep outreach and early detection front and center. The pandemic severely affected the scheduling of mammograms, thereby delaying the preventive health service for millions of people, which leads to delayed diagnosis. Breast Care for Washington continues to reach out to all as people catch up on preventive health services. We need your help to do this!
